Meetings with native Chinese-speaking students, discussion sessions, and all those interested in the project!
The event saw the participation of native Chinese-speaking students, discussion panel members, and Italian students studying Chinese at the University of Turin. Professors Tanina Zappone, Stefania Stafutti, and Barbara Leonesi explained to participants the content and objectives of the project “Proposals for Innovative Teaching in Chinese Language and Culture Studies: From Teaching Geography to Teaching Language from an Intercultural Perspective,” funded by the Grant for Internalization from the Department of Humanities at the University of Turin.
Following this, students were engaged in a photographic activity around the territory of Turin and its surroundings, inspired by a previous experience conducted with Professor Yan Preston. The goal was to identify the presence, more or less explicit, of elements related to Chinese culture and society within the city. The results of this work are displayed in the gallery “Chinese Geographies.”
